My 'Crappy' Patio Furniture

We've  been back from vacation for almost a week or so and last night I barely noticed that the patio furniture was missing from the front porch.

We were driving in from having dinner out.  He recently put a gate at the front of the property, but the gate itself is malfunctioning, so it just remains open.  I suppose it's for show more than security, because while you may not be able to drive in if the gate is closed, if somebody was deadset on getting in (for the purpose of a breakin) they could walk to the end of the property and walk around the fence.  They'd have to battle the forrest, but should be easy enough.  Orr you can go to the opposite end jump the neighbor's fence, which is waist high.

Anyway, anyway....we're driving up and I noticed the futniture gone.  The first thing that came to mind was because of the open gate somebody had stolen it.  I said that. His response to that was to ask who would want to steal that crappy furniture.

Oh no he didn't!! I reminded him that he had given me that crappy furniture as a gift, a Valentine's gift at that (among other stuff). It was my furniture regardless. I asked what happened to it and he said he gave it to my dad.  It wasn't his to give away.  He went on to say we were still settling in and he hadn't gotten around to ordering something for the porch,  but he'd do it soon enough.

No, it was my furniture and he had no business getting rid of it. I asked for his phone, mine had been left in the house earlier when we left for dinner.  I got off the vehicle and headed to the jeep, I told him I was going to my dad's to pick it up.  He called me unreasonable and told his daughter to go with me.

Once at my Dad's, I guess he had been alerted because he came out as soon as I pulled up.  He loads the chairs....I asked him flat out if he had asked for the furniture, this sets him off....calling me ungrateful...how am I being ungrateful for being upset that he'd given MY furniture away.  Back and forth, blah, blah, blah.  It ended with me telling him to shut up, just stfu.

We got back to the house and he wanted to help me unload.....I told him to keep his hands off my stuff.  He didn't argue, he left me to do it myself.

Idk why the fk I reacted this way. Once the furniture was back on the porch I went inside to get a bottle of water and went back outside to sit on the porch.  This is probably the fourth time since February that I've even sat on it.  Doesn't matter though, cuz it's still mine.  I'm keeping it forever.

I'm craving queso...Queso compuesto, that's queso dip with ground sausage.  Maybe tomorrow.

It was YOUR furniture. You had every right to be upset.
