As the alarm went off at 4:30, I remembered I hadn't set the coffee to make itself, so downstairs I ran to get it going. Richard, who usually jumps into the shower as soon as the alarm goes off, was still in bed. So I shake him and let him know its after 4:30, he says his body aches all over as a result of yesterday. This makes me laugh...did I mention the soccer practice consists of 4 and 5 year olds?? I tell him he can't seriously be that out of it that his muscles are sore. He says he didn't think he was but apparently so.
I tell him to let's jump in the shower and I'll massage his shoulders and legs, as I'm saying that I'm rubbing his feet...so, shower and massage....I dress in a hurry before I dress him. Yes, I dress him. That's been our morning routine, actually most mornings I shave him before he jumps in the shower, not this morning though.
In the kitchen over the coffee (I am not a coffee drinker!) he tells me that after work we should take the boys to the high school track so that he and the boys can run some (I don't see any of the three running more than one lap) and kick the ball around. We bought two soccer balls last night after practice. It sounded like a good idea, one of the boys needs more practice, more getting used to team play. (That would be Will :( )
It really melted my heart seeing this man running along side the boys at practice. I know it was something the boys enjoyed, and I'm really excited to see how the season plays out.
My classes aren't as bad as I expected, not yet anyway. I'm hoping it remains this way. That would really be good for me.
